What You'll Do
The AP Technician will report to the Director of Finance and is responsible for the full accounts payable cycle, payroll and payroll filings, month end closing of AP, some analysis and reporting and implementation of process improvements. The candidate will have access to confidential information, and it is expected and required that the information be held in the strictest confidence.
Responsible for full process of accounts payable
Responsible to process payroll and payroll filings
Responsible for staff and partner expenses
Responsible of credit card reconciliations
Participate in monthly close
Identify internal control issues and establish counter measures
Act as a backup when need be, for Finance team members
Other Ad hoc as required by manager
What You Need to Succeed
2-4 years experience in similar role
Solid understanding of accounts payable cycle
Solid understanding of payroll cycle (payroll certification considered an asset)
Good knowledge of accounting cycle
Knowledge of one or more ERP systems is a plus
Excellent communication skills in both English and French
Good Excel skills
Detail oriented and high level of accuracy
Work well under pressure
Strong organizational skills
Leadership and quick problem solving
